The cloud has been coming for a long time — it’s coming, really coming, like a freight train — but there are some impediments to its broad adoption. Today’s news is based on findings from IBM’s fourth annual Cyber Monday Benchmark which tracks more than a million transactions a day, analyzing terabytes of raw data from 500 retailers nationwide. With this data, IBM helps retailers better understand and respond to their customers – across the organization – improving sourcing, inventory management, marketing, sales, and services programs.
They described aspirations and challenges for their businesses, efforts to make a difference in the lives of others, and plans for using technology to communicate better with employees, customers and business partners, all while balancing family and work schedules.
