“Virtually all workers with a laptop are becoming roaming workers regardless of where they spend their time between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.,” said Rowan Trollope. “Employees are more commonly migrating over numerous network environments and geographic locations presenting IT with the challenge of enforcing usage policies, ensuring the protection of laptops and other endpoints and safeguarding employee communications.”
HP Australia Pty. Ltd. today announced that Elders Australia Ltd., a 172-year-old rural services and automotive company, has signed a seven-year infrastructure and applications services agreement. HP will deliver these infrastructure and applications services from HP global delivery centers in Australia and the Philippines, which give clients like Elders greater flexibility and cost-efficiencies while minimizing risk.
For example, as a pioneer in mainframe education, China’s Tongji University hosts a System z mainframe education center in Shanghai. The university offers seven mainframe courses that were selected by the Ministry of Education China and IBM. These courses are promoted nationwide and are shared worldwide at no cost.
