As a key part of its growth strategy, IBM is investing in the Indian education system with a number of partnerships and academic initiatives especially to support the growth of open source technologies. For example, IBM is partnering with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Guwahati to foster innovation and promote local technology talent.
Previously, children and their families had to share five desktops in a public area during their stay. Now, with an HP TouchSmart 9300 Elite Business PC in each room, children and their families have a personal information and communication hub for the duration of their stay.
This is just one example of some of the unique coursework that the new McCormick Master of Science in Analytics degree will challenge students with beginning in the Fall 2012. Nearly 6,000 universities and 30,000 faculty members worldwide have joined IBM’s Academic Initiative over the past seven years.
Additional out-of-the-box integration points support the exchange of data with customer relationship management (CRM), membership accounting, provider management and other critical payer systems, as well as with third-party systems. The solution supports major medical, dental, vision and behavioral health claims.
